June Forde

June Forde is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has experience working with individuals of all ages. She specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and their families who present with a variety of emotional, behavioral and social needs. Areas of expertise include children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional behavior, adjustment to life stressors, self – harm behavior and parenting education. June has a special interest and experience working with domestic violence, trauma and child sexual abuse.

In therapy, June uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to individually tailor a treatment plan to address the needs of individuals and families. She strongly believes in a collaborative approach with parents, children and providers to achieve and maintain successful outcomes. June strives to empower individuals by accentuating their strengths through person centered, cognitive behavioral and relaxation strategies.

Experience

M.S., LPCC

June earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Minnesota State University Moorhead. She completed her internship at the Rape & Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead and was subsequently employed as a therapist for the next eight years. June has been working with children, adolescents and families in the Fargo-Moorhead area for the past 25 years. Her work experience includes crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial hospitalization and outpatient therapy. June has also given a variety of presentations within the community on the impact of domestic violence on children, anxiety and child sexual abuse.
